No matter where you build or host your website, there are monthly fees to keep the site online. The required base care plan helps cover our costs for keeping your website online and running smoothly. At the bare minimum, all websites must have the “Pay as you Go” plan. We work hard to keep this fee as low as possible while never sacrificing the quality of our hosting.
We also offer a variety of other Care Plans that include edits, blog additions, etc.
If you would like the ability to make edits to existing content, we will provide you with an editor account. Your editor account will give you access to a basic editing platform where you can make simple changes like changing text or swapping out existing images. You will also be able to update any dynamic content like blogs, portfolios, staff listings etc.
Any changes to the layout or new additions will need to be done by Heighten Creative. We used to allow clients to edit their own sites. However, over the years, we've learned that it’s easier for everyone if we handle major layout edits and additions at Heighten Creative. You don’t have to learn a new system or worry about messing up your site. We don’t have to spend time fixing your site if you break it (which costs way more, trust us).
We also offer a variety of care plans that cover all edits to existing content for a flat rate. Think of us as your in-house design team that is only an email or text away. We mean it when we say full-service.
What we build your site on depends on your needs and priorities. For simple sites with mainly static content, we may opt to keep things light and do static HTML and CSS. We will develop your site on WordPress if you need more robust capabilities like portfolios, blogs, e-commerce, etc. We are firm believers that there is no one size fits all and the best tool is the right one for the job.
Regardless of which route we go, you will always have the option to migrate your site to another provider or agency should you need to, but we believe you will never want to ;)
This really depends on the complexity of your site. We have published simple one page sites in 48 hours in rush situations. On average though, expect 3-4 weeks. The timeline is really affected by how long it takes for you to provide us with all the content, images, copy etc., and site functionality. Here are some basic timelines assuming ideal conditions:
One Page Site | 5 Business Days
Standard Site | 10 Business Days
Dynamic Site [Blog, Portfolio, etc] | 15 Business Days
E-commerce Site | 15 - 20 Business Days
The answer depends. If you are just starting out, the odds are you don’t need one of our monthly pro-addons. You can always add them later as you grow. However, we highly recommend the Pro Media add-on if you have never had professional videos or photos taken. Professional and visually appealing assets for your site are essential for helping your audience connect with your mission. Similarly, if you don’t have professional branding that includes a solid brand mark and org colors you should really consider adding the Pro Branding add-on.
My main camera is the Sony Fx3. I also shoot on a couple of Sony A7iv’s. I shoot everything in 4k, 10-bit LOG to capture the most dynamic range and preserve as much color from the footage as possible in the edit. I also fly the DJI Air 3 and have ventured into FPV as well.
I don’t shoot higher than 4k for two reasons. One, 99% of the videos people watch are on a phone which means it is already downsampled to 1080p. Second, the files are larger, which means it takes longer to edit and work with them, costing the client more money.
Nope! I will provide all of the necessary gear and lighting.
Sorry, no. But I do shoot events.
Yes! I am a fully licensed drone pilot and hold a current FAA Part 107 Certification.
