In a world inundated with poorly executed videos, quality becomes paramount for businesses aiming to stand out from the competition. With the rise of social media and video-sharing platforms, anyone can create and upload videos. However, this accessibility also means a deluge of subpar content saturating the internet. In this cluttered environment, high-quality videos become essential to capture and retain viewers' attention. Research suggests that 62% of consumers have a negative perception of a brand if they encounter low-quality videos, highlighting the potential repercussions of delivering substandard content. By investing in professional video production, you can ensure that your brand message is conveyed effectively, establishing credibility, trust, and a positive perception among your audience.

The Process

I’ll  arrange a call or meeting to discuss what you want to achieve with your video, as well as creative ideas about content, tone, and style. What is your message? Who is the audience? Where will this video be seen? How will you measure the success? I'll then prepare a quote or detailed proposal that works within your budget. You’re welcome to come to me with a detailed brief, or if you just have a vague idea at this stage we can work it out together.

After discussing your needs and learning about your project, I will start planning for the filming shoot. We will discuss things like dates, location, talent, props, etc. I will make sure we have all the moving pieces coordinated to make sure the day of the shoot goes as smoothly as possible.

This is the day when all the planning comes into play. I will do all of the heavy lifting and coordinating. I will also do everything I can to make sure your talent and participants feel calm and comfortable so we capture genuine and authentic footage for your video. Depending on the type of video, I will bring lighting and all necessary equipment. If we are filming in someone's home, it may feel overwhelming, but I am always respectful and careful and will return the space to its original state before we finish the day.

Once I’ve finished filming, I will head back to my desk and start making the magic happen. This is the most exciting part of the process as all the planning and heavy lifting of filming take shape, and your story is prepared to share with the world. I try to have edits done within 5-7 business days after filming, but this depends on your video's length and my current workload.

Once editing is complete, I will send your final video via a Dropbox link. One revision is included in your fee. After that, I will charge per hour on top of the original fee collected. Once you are satisfied with the final product, I will deliver the final version after your invoice is paid via Dropbox transfer.

Things I get asked a lot.

My main camera is the Sony Fx3. I also shoot on a couple of Sony A7iv’s. I shoot everything in 4k, 10-bit LOG to capture the most dynamic range and preserve as much color from the footage as possible in the edit.

I don’t shoot higher than 4k for two reasons. One, 99% of the videos people watch are on a phone which means it is already downsampled to 1080p. Second, the files are larger, which means it takes longer to edit and work with them, costing the client more money.

Nope! I will provide all of the gear and lighting necessary.
